Family Assistance: Information, Support, Guidance, Resources, and Advocacy
At Beyond The Spectrum ABA Therapy (BTS), we understand that navigating autism can be challenging, which is why we are committed to connecting families with valuable support networks. Below are several groups and organizations that offer resources, advocacy, and community support for families on their autism journey:

Founded in 1998, Spectrum Autism Support Group provides education, resources, and support for individuals and families impacted by autism. Serving over 1,500 families in Gwinnett County and the surrounding Metro Atlanta area, Spectrum has become a trusted resource in the autism community. They offer support groups, summer day camps, overnight camps, social skills groups, respite, community training, and family events for all ages and abilities.

Parent to Parent of Georgia offers a variety of services to families in Georgia impacted by disabilities or special healthcare needs. This organization aims to be the top resource for support, information, education, and leadership development for individuals with disabilities or special health care needs (ages birth to 26) and their families.

The CDC provides vital information on autism prevalence, screening, diagnosis, treatments, and more. Their resources are a great tool for families and professionals navigating autism spectrum disorder.

Autism Plan for Georgia is an advocacy group dedicated to ensuring that high-quality, family-centered, comprehensive, and coordinated systems of services and supports are available to all children with autism and related disorders in Georgia.

The Arc of Georgia works alongside individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to promote and protect their rights. They focus on improving quality of life and ensuring equality for people with disabilities.

The Autism Research Institute helps empower families and individuals affected by autism through research and online education. They conduct biological research on the causes and potential treatments for autism and provide helpful resources on their website.

Autism Speaks is the largest autism advocacy organization in the United States, offering a wide range of resources for families, professionals, and others. Their website provides tools and information to support individuals affected by autism.
At Beyond The Spectrum ABA Therapy (BTS), we are dedicated to supporting you and your family with the information and resources you need. Please reach out to us if you have any questions or need assistance navigating these valuable programs.
